  • Liked Shamwow mop NOT anymore



    On June 22 2011 I bought the shamwow mop from a local store. I loved it till today July 14 th. I followed every instruction it gave even went online to do more research. The reason why I got it in the first place is I have physical issues that wont allow me wring out a mop enough. I went to use it today and the bottom part of the mop wont hold onto the lower part when I went to wring it out it kept coming off. So now till I get a new mop I guess Im going to step on it wring it enough. I threw out the box along with the receipt stupid me. Id advise no one to buy this cheap product. More...

    Hi, first time I used lilac colour cloth it started to split - only dusting !! What will be left after 10 year guarantee ?? Going to report to Woolworths where I bought a 2 cloth pack.     The experience was horrible and the charges are outragous. I originaly was ordering 1 set and received 2, I called after the order was placed and was told they couldnt pull it up in their system to call back on Monday which I did and the order had shipped. I refused the shipment and had it returned. They charged me $66.70 and only refunded $34.90 and charged me $31.80 in processing.     I got the Shamwow's as a stocking stuffer from my mother (we always laughed at the commercials) but when I actually tried them out they were more disappointing than anything. They're basically just a sheet of felt. That's it. I poured out a little bit of water on the table to test them out hoping they'd work like on tv. NOPE! It literally just spread the water around the table...didn't absorb one drop. NOT A SINGLE DROP! Do not buy these. They're a waste of money, paper towels are cheaper and work 100x better!!! More...

    Please, if anyone has a mailing address for Shamwow, please let me know, as I am hoping to report them to the Better Business Bureau, but an address is required. And lo and behold, I do not find one on their site! My complaint? When their "rush" shipping did not come on time, I called to cancel the order entirely. Was told that would be no problem; only need to put "refused - return to sender" and send it back through the mail. Very helpful customer-service woman.     I admit it... as skeptical as I usually am, when I saw Shamwow at Costco I was weak and decided to give it a try. I'd like to say it sucks, but it really doesn't, at least not like it showed on TV. As far as I'm concerned, it does not work any better than a think towel, and not nearly as well as a real chamois.     I have recieved two sham wow yellow toweletts from my son, They did not work for him, and the definately don't work for me. I used them on my Dodge Ram P/U. First one and then another dry one. The results were deplorable. All they did was smear the windows and leave streaks on the paint, not to mention that the truck was still wet.   • Total garbage



    Bought the 2-per set at Thunder in the Valley in May 2009. The guys did the usual cookie-cutter demo. We tried using one to dry the car; per the directions. All it did was push the water around. My terry towel did better than the Sham(for sure!) wow. I then tried soaking up water from the bucket. One quart of water. It soaked up about a pint and left the rest in the bucket.     ... we recently purchased one because it looked so cool and convenient. But it doesn't work as advertised. We filled up a glass halfway with water and dunked it in to see how well it worked, granted it did soak up most the water but it was dripping all over like a regular old paper towel.     I got one of these and it's horrible. A regular towel does the same thing and cost less! I did however find a product that does work! Leaves no streaks and cleans everything with just water!     I just spent about 20 minutes on this automated phone call with Shamwow. Ofcourse, like most people I would have rather spoke to a human. But, with the fast past of today, I wasn't suprised. With this in mind, the Company offered me everything they ever invented. I didn't want any of the other products, but saying no wasn't enough. I had to say no twice.     Horrible, absolutely horrible. A complete rip-off. Whats worse is that my son bought 8 towels for $19.95 over the internet from a company that charged his debit card $102.90 and sent him product he didn't order. He wrote them another e-mail and asked what to do. We sent the product back to a address in Wallingford, CT and made them sign for it. A "M. Kidd" signed for the returned product but no credit was ever received by my son.     I feel completely violated. My buddy actually has some super towel that is some sort of Rubber material. I tried his and I thought the Shamwow was similar, if not better based on those infomercials. When I got it, all it was was some sort of cheap felt that looks and feels like it maybe has some wool in it. I couldn't believe what a terrible job it did with soaking up water.     Well, I feel like a complete FOOL!!! I called & ordered the 1 - yes, I said ONE - order to see if they really worked. When I went to check my online banking 2 days later I was charged with 5 - YES COUNT THEM FIVE!!! - orders, which with shipping added up to almost $140!!! I just called them today & - OH GEE!!!     Shamwow is nothing more then a scam. I bought it and it didn't work any better then a cotton towel. They will return your money in the first 30 days but they keep you 7.95 shipping. It dosn't cost them 7.95 to ship so they make at least $5.00, not counting all the people who don't bother to return the. when we need to do is complain to the counsumer affairs department in the state you live.
